About Trainer Hub

Trainer Hub is an independent fan guide built for people who play, or want to start playing, Pokémon GO. We write plain explanations of how the game's systems work, from your very first catch to the mechanics behind competitive play.

What we do

This site is a collection of guides: beginner walkthroughs, explainers on mechanics like CP and IVs, collecting guides, and — over on our events hub — coverage of how community events and the GO Battle League generally work. Our goal is for a guide you read today to still make sense months later, so we focus on explaining stable systems rather than chasing whatever happens to be active this week.

What we're not

Trainer Hub is an independent fan site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Niantic, Scopely, Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures, or GAME FREAK, and we don't speak for any of them. Pokémon and Pokémon GO are trademarks of their respective owners. Anything on this site that concerns in-game specifics can change, so always treat official in-game announcements as the final word.

How the site is organized

New players usually start with our complete beginner guide or the shorter quick start guide. From there, guides branch into mechanics, collecting, and — on our events and competitive hub — everything related to community events, raids, and the GO Battle League.
