Ghost is one of the more unusual types on the chart: Ghost-type moves are super effective against other Ghost-types (not just Psychic), and Ghost-types themselves take only around 0.39× from Normal- and Fighting-type moves, Pokémon GO's stand-in for the core series' immunities. Their only real weaknesses are Ghost and Dark.

Practical GO tips
- Ghost-type attackers are effective against Psychic-types and, notably, against other Ghost-types.
- Normal- and Fighting-type moves do almost nothing to a Ghost-type (~0.39×), which makes Ghost-types unusually safe picks against Fighting-heavy raid lineups.
- Ghost-types resist Poison and Bug on top of their two near-immunities, so their only real risks are Ghost and Dark moves; check a boss's charged moves before committing a Ghost attacker.
Note that Ghost is weak to itself, so a mirror match between Ghost-types is decided by whoever hits first and hardest rather than by type; that's unusual, and it's worth remembering before sending a Ghost against a Ghost-type boss.
To beat a Ghost-type, Dark attackers are the safe choice: they get 1.6× and resist Ghost's attacks, whereas a Ghost attacker also gets 1.6× but takes 1.6× straight back.
